The confidence to know what the users need before they have your product.

This week’s article is about the process of coming up with an idea for a product and building it. I’m not going to waste your time with the steps of product development, I’m sure you can find at least 10 good ones within 10 seconds of scrolling through Google’s first result page. Instead I want to focus on the ideation part from a more spiritual perspective. The building phase from a community perspective, and looking at the launch from the point of view of gambling.

I’m sure many will disagree with my way of doing things, I was told by many investors and thought-leaders in 2015 that people don’t want to have therapy sessions, or any medical advice given to them, via a video call. I’ve been told a health tracking app can’t be reimagined as so many other have tried, “they all look the same”. Yet here I am telling you that it’s possible to innovate in both saturated and non existing markets.

Innovation is living on the edge of confidence and fear of failure.

Problem driven product: Focus on the problem more than the existing solutions.

I start with finding my why. Why do I care about this problem, I’ve been lucky enough…
